DESCRIPTION:The workshop on ITCER training materials will bring together ITCER members\, young scientists from Kenyan universities and school teachers\, local government employees\, and nature conservation professionals from Siaya County with data scientists from SNSB IT Center to optimize the outreach character and educational impact of the e-training approaches realized by ITCER. \n\n\n\nThis event will build on the outcomes of the March 2024 workshop on “Enhancing Renaturation in Siaya County\,” focusing on new developments in biodiversity monitoring and restoration. Specifically\, “Enhancing Renaturation in Siaya County 2” will highlight the use of newly developed devices (ITCER mobile) for biodiversity monitoring and explore experiences with plant nurseries\, emphasizing their potential for biodiversity restoration in the region. \n\n\n\nThe new ITCER approaches will be showcased. The workshop will also include a discussion of business models to ensure that environmental activities are sustainable and not solely reliant on voluntary efforts.
